The film was released on DVD by Warner Bros. but there is no English dub track because it has been released only in India and China. This means that there will be no English subtitles available with this edition. It was released as a single disc as well as a double disc set. The single disc edition of the film is packed with additional features such as the "I Am Legend" viral video, deleted scenes, "The Alchemy of Darkness", which is an in-depth look into the genesis of this story, "Imagining I Am Legend", which delves into Neville's character and his personal journey in becoming who he is, "The Attraction to Light", which explains how light became integral to developing Neville's character further. The special effects are explained in great detail in this documentary. Additionally, there are two documentaries called "Creating I Am Legend" and ""Adapting I Am Legend"". Both these documentaries are shot by director Francis Lawrence. The film's score was composed and conducted by James Newton Howard. The soundtrack was released on two discs: Disc 1 includes all the music, and Disc 2 includes the partial score. The album includes the songs written and composed by James Newton Howard, except for "Dies Irae" (which is a response of John Williams's "Dies Irae") which is not available on either disc.James Newton Howard of James Newton Howard & Friends, Andrew Kawczynski, Christopher Tin, Louie Flores and Michael Nyman collaborated to create additional music.
The film was released in Hindi as ""I Am Legend"", with only the opening song being dubbed in Hindi. The remaining lyrics are english with Hindi subtitles.
